INSTRUCTIONS
1. Sweat shallots and onions in olive oil over medium heat.
2. Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
3. Season with black pepper, red pepper flakes, rosemary and thyme.
4. Add tomatoes and keep stirring for a few minutes.
5. Lower heat and cover sautee pan. Let tomatoes continue to cook for 10 minutes or so until they begin to split.
6. Add and let simmer covered for several minutes.
7. While simmering, put pasta in boiling water and cook till al dente.
8. When pasta is done place in sautee pan; reserve some of the pasta water. This can be added into the sautee pan if needed.
9. Add basil and cheese; stir prior to serving.
