INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, soy sauce, oils, ginger, garlic, shallots and some salt and pepper to taste until the sugar has dissolved. Add the steak, massage the marinade into the meat and leave at room temperature for 15 minutes.
2. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill until medium-hot.
3. Lightly brush the grill with vegetable oil. Grill the steak for about 9 minutes in total for medium rare or until cooked to you liking, flipping halfway through.
4. Transfer to a chopping board and leave to rest for about 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak against the grain and top with the spring onions and sesame seeds to serve.
