INSTRUCTIONS
1. Beat eggs in very large bowl with rotary beater.
2. Add sugar and melted margarine and beat well.
3. Add baking powder, salt, and vanilla and beat again.
4. Stir in flour gradually. You may not use all of the flour.
5. When batter is all collected, turn out onto table and knead for a few minutes. Batter should be soft but not sticky.
6. Grease tins each time you use them.
7. Roll dough into ropes about 3 inches long and ½ inch round and twist like a knot.
8. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes. When top of cookies are firm they are done. Cookies will be light brown on bottom and white on top.
9. Dip cookies in icing made with confectionary sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon extract and warm milk.
