The amounts listed for soy sauce and garlic powder can be adjusted based on your tastes. When all of the fried rice is mixed together, taste for seasoning. If you like more soy sauce or salt and pepper in your fried rice, go ahead and add it. And remember, you can always add seasonings and sauces, but you can’t take them away, so don’t overdo the soy sauce and seasonings right off the bat. Two cups of uncooked rice should yield about 6 cups of cooked rice.
