INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Over medium~high heat, melt the butter in a large skillet. Once the butter begins browning, add the diced vegetables and garlic, (if using fresh). Add the salt. After these have cooked for a few minutes add the Worcestershire sauce, GARLIC (if using PENZEYS MINCED), PEPPER, NUTMEG and CAYENNE PEPPER. lf you like it hot, add a couple shakes of your favorite hot sauce. Next add ½ cup of ketchup. Continue cooking and stirring for a few more minutes. Remove from the heat. After allowing the mixture to cool for a few minutes, add the milk. Stir until combined. Next add at least 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Continue adding breadcrumbs and stirring until the mixture is a nice, thick paste. Place the ground beef and pork in a large mixing bowl. Whisk
2. the eggs and add to the meat. Begin incorporating the vegetable mixture into the meat. Keep working all of the mix into the meat until it is well blended. Spray a sheet pan with some non-stick cooking spray or line with foil. Next, using your hands, form your meat mixture into a loaf on the sheet pan. Make the loaf around 6-8 inches wide and about ½ inches thick. In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix together the remaining ketchup and the honey. Slather this sauce over the whole meatloaf. Bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes. The leftovers make a delicious sandwich.
