2. Sprinkle the instant yeast over the water-sugar mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy. This indicates that the yeast is activated.
3. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, activated yeast mixture, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt.
4. Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms.
5. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Add more flour if needed to prevent sticking.
6. First Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until it has doubled in size.
7. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°FC).
8. Shape the Pizza Bread: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Transfer it to a floured surface and shape it into a round or rectangular pizza bread.
9. Second Rise: Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for an additional 30-45 minutes.
10. Bake: Brush the top of the pizza bread with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
